A staff of College of Education (COE), Katsina-Ala, Godwin Yanbee Bosua, has been found dead few hours after his abduction last Saturday.
According to sources, Bosua, a former bursar with the College of Education, Katsina-Ala had strolled to his private nursery and primary school, close to the college and didn’t return.
Efforts by family, friends and colleagues to find him failed until his body was found yesterday morning in an orchard belonging to the nursery and primary school.
A close confidant of the deceased family disclosed that there were bruises on Bosua’s body, indicating that he must have been severely beaten by his assailants.
Our correspondent gathered that the remains of the victim had been deposited at the morgue of the General Hospital Katsina-Ala.
Last Thursday, some gunmen shot and killed one Ugoh Terseer Akagbue, an assistant registrar with the College of Education, Katsina-Ala, Benue State in his residence.
In reaction to the killings, a group known as ‘Peace Initiative,’ has sent an SOS to the Inspector General of Police to wade into the matter and save the people.
In a statement signed by President, Mr. Jonah, the group expressed worry over the continuous threats to members of the college community, adding that the situation had made many of them to run away.
The group also appealed to Governor Samuel Ortom to wade into the crisis by evolving appropriate security measures in Sankera axis of the state to safeguard life and property.
When contacted, state’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP Moses Yamu, said he was yet to be briefed on the killing of Bosua.
