What matters to me dring Sex - Maheeda

When you think of Maheeda, what comes to your mind won’t be her songs but nude selfies, raunchy videos and her “bad girl” lifestyle. The controversial Nigerian singer revealed via her new YouTube channel, her sexual preferences and how she loves to be handled sexually.
maheeda“People always ask me about how I like sex. For me, sex is to be enjoyed and it depends on my mood. Sometimes, I just want it rough and when I say rough I don’t mean violent, I mean hard. Sometimes I just want it in a gentle way.

Sometimes, I have energy and I just want to use the energy to satisfy my man. Most African men think that the harder they do it, the better they are. I like to talk a lot before having sex so as to

know my partner’s preference. If you want the same thing that I want then you are a good match.

I hate dry sex, when a man is doing what I am not feeling. I like my sex enjoyable, sometimes fast, and sometimes slow.

Foreplay is just so important to me. For me, size doesn’t matter but of course not too tiny. What matters to me is that he knows how to use the tool.” She also advises individuals who are ignorant when it comes to sex.

“Go online, watch some porn, sometimes porn is educative. If you don’t know how to do it there is no shame in it.”

Peteition to EFCC against Jonathan a Hoax

Counsel to Chief Olisa Metuh, the embattled former National Publicity Secretary of the People’s Democractic Party, PDP, Barr. Ben Nwosu, has described as a hoax, a recent petition to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for the anti-graft agency to invite and probe ex-President Goodluck Jonathan on issues relating to the ongoing trial of Metuh.
EFCC operatives
operatives

The petition was sent to the EFCC by Barr. Osuagwu Ugochukwu, on behalf of a former member of the Enugu State House of Assembly, Ikenna Ejezie.

Nwosu in a statement on Saturday, said: “Our attention has been drawn to reports in the media regarding a petition by one Barrister Osuagwu Ugochukwu claiming to be representing a non- existent former member of the Enugu State House of Assembly, given as Ikenna Ejezie, and asking the EFCC to invite and interrogate ex-President Goodluck Jonathan on issues relating to the on-going trial of our client, Chief Olisa Metuh.

“Whereas we note that Barrister Ugochukwu has links with the EFCC and had appeared on behalf of the commission while representing its former Chairman, Ibrahim Larmode at a hearing in the National Assembly last year, the claim that the petition is on behalf of a former member of Enugu State House of Assembly is false as no such individual ever served in that legislative house.

“However, we have thoroughly studied the petition and for the avoidance of doubt, wish to state as follows.

1. The petition is not really against ex-President Jonathan but actually a calculated attempt targeted at swaying public sentiments and the judiciary against our client in this orchestrated and well-funded media trial. The idea is to sway the minds of the public and the court to get a conviction based more on media trial than the laws of the land.

2. It is clear that their assertion is neither based on the statement our client made at the EFCC nor on the evidence placed before the court, which has clearly established our client’s case that the N400 million approved by the former president was not for personal and private use.

3. The fact that this matter is subjudice should have impressed upon the petitioners and their backers that publicizing such hoax is actually an affront to the judiciary except it is intended to cow the judiciary.

4. We are astonished as to how the petitioners would have referred to our client’s statement as a confession and a criminal statement.

5. We are also not unmindful of the fact that this appears to be a vendetta by some persons to cast our client in the mold of an already guilty individual just waiting for sentencing.

6.It is therefore obvious that the sole intention of this petition is to distort our client’s defense, which has so far been honestly and sincerely presented before the court

7. Finally, we state that we support the present fight against corruption and which is needed at this time of our national development, however this should not be used by some persons as a ploy to settle personal scores,” the statement added.

Nigeria's economy shrinks for the first time since 2004

GDP now minus 0.36%
•Unemployment rises further with more job losses

NIGERIA economy shrank in the first quarter of 2016 as oil output fell and the manufacturing, financial and real estate industries declined considerably. This was coming at backdrop of further increase in unemployment rate in the country. The National Bureau of Statistics, NBS, report on the economy released yesterday said that the gross domestic product, GDP, contracted by -0.36 per cent from a year earlier suggesting that the economy is now entering recession as second quarter is also projected to turn out worse GDP position given some recent developments.

Boko-EconomyThe GDP has been on steady decline since last year ending the year with a fourth quarter growth rate of 2.11 per cent. The last time the economy contracted was in the second quarter of 2004, according to data on the website of the Central Bank Nigeria, CBN.

According to NBS, ‘’in the First Quarter (Q1) of 2016, Oil production stood at 2.11million barrels per day (mbpd) 0.05 mbpd lower from production in Q4 of 2015. Oil production was also lower relative to the corresponding quarter in 2015 by 0.07mbpd when output was recorded at 2.18mbpd’’.

Situation has since worsened in the sector with the Minister of State for petroleum Resources, Dr Ibe Kachikwu, saying that production is now down to1.4 mbpd, due to increased militancy activities in the Niger Delta Region in recent weeks.

In the non-oil sector, NBS stated that ‘’while activities such as Crop production, Trade and Telecommunications & Information Services supported growth of the sector, growth in overall was weighed down by declines in Manufacturing, Financial Institutions, and Real Estate’’.

The non-oil sector, consequently, slowed 0.18 per cent in real terms in Q1 of 2016 and this was 5.77 percentage points lower from the corresponding quarter in 2014 and 3.32 percentage points from the previous quarter .

“It is going to be a difficult year, and probably will go into next year because the causes of the economic troubles are still there,”  Magnus Kpakol, Director at Abuja-based consultancy Economic and Business Strategies, said.  “Oil prices are not just low, but production has also reduced.”

According to NBS “during the quarter, aggregate GDP stood at N22, 262,575.97 million (in nominal terms) at basic prices. Compared to the First Quarter 2015 value of N21,041,701.10 million, nominal GDP was 5.80 per cent higher. Nominal GDP growth was however lower relative to levels recorded in the last quarter of 2015 by 14.15 per centage points.

‘’As a share of the economy, the Oil sector contributed 10.29 per cent of total real GDP, marginally lower from the share recorded in the corresponding period of 2015, yet higher from the share in fourth quarter of 2015 by 2.24 per cent points. In the non-oil sector GDP, NBS stated that while activities such as Crop production, Trade and Telecommunications & Information Services supported growth of the sector, in overall growth was weighed down upon by declines in Manufacturing, Financial Institutions, and Real Estate.

The sector slowed 0.18 per cent in real terms in the first three months of 2016, and this was 5.77 percentage points lower from the corresponding quarter in 2014 and 3.32 per cent points from the previous quarter . In real terms, the Non-Oil sector contributed 89.71 per cent to the nation’s GDP, marginally higher from shares recorded in Q1 of 2016 (89.55 per cent) yet lower from and Q4 2015 (91.94 per cent).

Crude Oil and Non-Oil Growth

The other major factor in the decline of GDP came from the four main activities that  make up the Mining & Quarrying sector, which include, Crude Petroleum and Natural Gas, Coal Mining, Metal ore and Quarrying and other Minerals.

According to NBS “on a nominal basis, the sector slowed by 34.98 per cent (year on-year) during the first three months of 2016. This was 11.22 per cent higher from growth recorded in 2015, and marginally higher from growth recorded in the previous quarter. The decline in year-on-year growth is attributable to the falling oil prices. The sector contributed 4.14  per cent to overall GDP in the first three months of 2016, lower than the contribution recorded in same quarter of 2015 and the preceding quarter by 2.60 per cent p and 1.04 per cent points respectively.

In real terms, Mining and Quarrying sector slowed at 2.96 per cent (year-on-year) between January and March 2016, a relative improvement from the same period in 2015 by 4.94 per cent and Q4 2015 by 5.08% points. “While Crude Oil output weighted on growth, the sector was supported by a substantial improvement in output in Metal Ores. The contribution of Mining and Quarrying to Real GDP in Q1 2016 was 10.34 per cent, marginally lower relative to the corresponding quarter of 2015 yet higher from the previous quarter by 2.13 per cent.

According to the report “In nominal terms, the agricultural sector grew by 14.15 per cent year-on year between January and March 2016. This was higher than growth rates recorded in the corresponding quarter of 2015 and the Q4 2015 by 6.71 per cent and 4.65 per cent respectively. Growth in the sector was driven by output in Crop Production accounting for 83.67 per cent of overall growth of the sector. Agriculture contributed 19.17% to nominal GDP during the quarter under review. This was higher than shares recorded in the corresponding period of 2015 by 1.40 per cent yet lower than the contribution in the last quarter of 2015 by 3.39 per cent.

“Real agricultural GDP growth in the first quarter of 2016 stood at 3.09 per cent (year-on-year), a decrease of 1.61 per cent from growth recorded in the corresponding period of 2015 and also lower by 0.39 per cent from the last quarter of 2015. While positive, growth in agricultural output has been relatively lower compared to the corresponding period of 2014 as a result of lower crop output which in turn was as a result of lower productivity during dry season farming during the quarter. Agriculture contributed 20.48 per cent to Real GDP during the quarter under review. This was higher than shares recorded in the corresponding period of 2015 by 0.69% points yet lower than shares recorded in Q4 2015 by 3.70% points.

“Nominal GDP growth of Manufacturing in Q1 2016 slowed by 2.98% (year-on-year), 4.23% points lower from growth recorded in Q1 2015 and 9.91% points lower from growth in Q4 2015 as a result of slower growth in 10 of 13 subsections of the Manufacturing sector. On a Quarter-on-Quarter basis, the sector slowed by 11.92%. The contribution of Manufacturing to Nominal GDP was 9.93% in Q1 2016, lower than the 10.17% recorded in the corresponding period of 2015, and marginally lower

from 9.09 in Q4 2015. In Q1 2016, Real GDP growth of the manufacturing” sector slowed by 8.39%, 14.17% points higher from growth recorded in Q1 2016 with Oil Refining, Cement, Food, Beverage and Tobacco and Electricity activities weighing on growth. Growth was however 7.27% points lower from rates recorded in Q4 2015, (Figure 6). On a quarter-on-quarter basis, the sector slowed on the margin by 11.91%.

Unemployment rate soars further

The escalating economic crises in the country has resonated in the labour market as unemployment rate rose further to 12.1 per cent in the first quarter of this year. Unemployment rate has been on steady rise since second quarter of 2015 when it stood at 8.2 per cent before rising to 9.9 per cent and 10.4 per cent in third and fourth quarters of last year respectively.

According to the labour market report released yesterday by the NBS, the number of unemployed in the labour force, increased by 1,449,18 persons as against increase of 518,000 recorded in the previous quarter. With this figure, under the previous methodology of NBS, Nigeriafs unemployment rate would have been 31.2 per cent, the third highest in Africa behind Djibouti, Congo and Kenya.

The report also indicated that, there were a total of 24.5 million persons between the ages of 15-64 that were willing and able to work and actively seeking for job that were either unemployed or underemployed compared to 22.45 million in the fourth quarter of 2015, and 20.73 million in the third quarter 2015.

Also within the same period in 2016, the total number in full time employment decreased by 528,148 persons or 0.97 per cent, and this figure, according to NBS, consists of people who lost their jobs and were either forced or for various reasons, chose to move from full time employment to underemployment.

Against this backdrop, the number of underemployed in the labour force during the review quarter, however, increased by 607,613 persons, bringing the total number in this category to 15.02 million   and resulting in an increase in the underemployment rate to 19.1 per cent in the first quarter   2016 from 18.7 per cent in the previous quarter. NBS defines the underemployed as those working but doing largely menial work or jobs not commensurate with their qualifications or not fully engaged and merely working for few hours, less than 20hours.

According to NBS the increase in underemployment is in line with an increasing trend of informal sector job creation outpacing formal sector job creation forcing people to settle for less preferred underemployment, but it also included those that choose to work fewer hours or not be engaged in work full time for various reasons.

Unemployment and underemployment were highest for persons in the labour force between the ages of 15-24 and 25-34 years which represents the youth population in the labour force. Accordingly, 56.1 per cent of Nigerians in the labour force (not entire population) aged 15-24 years were either unemployed or underemployed in Q1 2016 compared to 53.5 per cent in Q4 2015 while another 32.8 per cent aged 25-34 years were either unemployed or underemployed in Q1 2016 compared to 31.3 per cent in Q4 2015.

For ladies! How to keep you vag!na clean, smelling fresh

How to keep The womanliness clean and smelling fresh
Have you ever wondered once or twice or more, how tight your womanliness was, or whether your womanliness has an unpleasant smell? If you’re married or s*xually active, you probably have. It will definitely be on your mind when you want to have s*x or when it’s time for your partner to go ‘down’ the road.

For getting your honey-pot tight, I know Kegels are wonderful and I use them when I remember. By the way, am I the only one who gets aroused during kegels exercises?
About how to get rid of the unpleasant honey-pot smells, bear in mind that all honey-pots have their own natural smell, maybe I should say scent. That unique scent can be an aphrodisiac for your partner, but when your honey-pot starts smelling too fishy, there’s something fishy.
You need to get rid of that smell from the inside out, and from the outside in.
Below are the top 10 tips I found.
1. Eat a good quantity of citrus fruits like Oranges and Lemons

2. I don’t know what Indian Gooseberry is but it’s supposed to help.
3. Add fresh yoghurt to your diet
4. Garlic is your friend, as it helps keep away bacterial infections
5. Tea Tree Oil is mentioned too, I’ve never used it. I know it’s great for hair too.
6. Drink lots of water, of course.
7. Use water every time you use a toilet, a wipe may be better than tissue paper. Avoid using douches. Wash your honey-pot with unscented soap or simple feminine wash for the external area only.

8. Keep the honey-pot area clean and dry also keep your pubic hair short!!
9. Choose cotton underwears or those with cotton in the honey-pot area. Or go commando, that is, without undies at all.
10. During your period, change your sanitary pads or tampons frequently and use panty liners during your ovulation.
I would love to hear your own ideas of getting rid of honey-pot odor..

Resqued chibuk girl's mother thanks God for her resque

The mother of Amina Ali, the first of the 219 abducted Chibok schoolgirls to be found, on Thursday paid tribute to her rescuers, in her first public comments on her daughter’s return.“

stop calling book haram terrorists our children's husband -Chibok women

ABUJA – The Chibok community under the aegis of Kibaku Area Development Association (KADA) has told the federal government its daughter, Amina Ali who was recently rescued from the grip of Boko Haram is not, and has never been married to any terrorist.

The community was reacting to reports that Amina was rescued alongside her ‘husband’, one Mohammed Hayyatu, a Boko Haram suspect.

Chairman of the Chibok community in Abuja, Tsambido Hosea Abana handed at a press briefing organized by the Bring Back Our Girls advocacy group in Abuja said, “The Mbalala village, where Amina hails from, and the Chibok community as a whole welcome Amina and accept her wholeheartedly with her child, while we await all others still in captivity.

“It is noteworthy, also, that Amina was found in the company of others, among whom is a man, Mohammed Hayyatu, who claims to be her ‘husband.’

“From this foregoing, we, the Kibaku Area Development Association (KADA), wish to state the following as our stance on Amina Ali Darsha Nkeki:

“We condemn, in strong terms, the calling of Mohammad Hayyatu as Boko Haram husband of our daughter; rather, upon confirmation by the Nigerian Military, should be referred to as a: “Boko Haram sexual exploiter.’ Amina had no husband and who ever that was rescued with her should not be referred to as her husband for any reason. They should be treated separately until Amina is fully rehabilitated.

“We will not support discussion with the Government or any agency of government in company of Mohammad Hayyatu.

“We are strongly calling on government to set up a team of expert investigators to investigate Mohammad Hayyatu’s involvement into Boko Haram that led him to be the sexual exploiter of our daughter Amina so as to allow the law to take its proper course. He should be treated based on what investigations will reveal not to conclude from start that he was also an abductee. Even if he is also abducted and forced to marry her, he should not be referred to in any way as her husband, because there was never consent in getting her with a baby.

“All reports and findings of investigation should be made public. All stakeholders – Parents, Chibok Community (KADA), BBOG, etc – should be involved in any process of discussing and relevant actions relating to Amina and her colleagues that we are expecting their rescue soonest, for purpose of transparency and confidence building.

“We are insisting Amina Ali’s mother/guardian and the Parents’ Association Chairman, Mr. Yakubu Nkeki to be on making decisions that concern her wellbeing. We are asking for a Safe Haven to be provided for Amina, her mom and her baby. A safe home that is controlled by her family with the reasonable amount of security support but not overbearing. Insist that all resources necessary be given to the Parents’ chair as her legal guardian in the absence of her Dad and a mom who herself needs help.

“The Chibok Community wishes to be involved in any further decisions on our daughters. We are dissatisfied with the approach of the military, and the Governments in shutting us out of verification process. We therefore refer Government and its agencies to the Verification, Authentication and Reintegration System that BBOG designed with the participation of our community. It lays out the PROPER PROCESS for handling the return of our daughters. That was not done in this case and we would not want any recurrence.

“The Chibok Community frowns at Federal Government and Borno State Government in treating Amina like an item. She is a traumatized young woman who needs immediate care and not any further media circus. We demanded to see our daughter today in Abuja as leaders of the Community”, it submitted.

Why I left chocolate city - Ice Prince reveals

gerian music star Ice Prince Zamani has announced that he is officially out of contract with foremost Nigerian record label Chocolate City music and the situation has caused quite uproar on social media.

The Aboki rapper did media rounds today, May 19 in promotion of his latest single Chike featuring Mavin Records star Korede Bello and he opened up about the situation both at Cool FM and Beat FM in Lagos.

File photo Ice Prince Zamani

Ice Prince signed to Chocolate City in 2010 under the tutelage of Audu Maikori and then went on to hit prominence in the Nigerian and African music industry with several hit songs such as Oleku, Aboki, I Swear, Gimme Dat, Can I Talk and N Word among others.

Before now, there were speculations that the 29-year-old was uncomfortable in the music label and wanted out hence the subtle promotion of his new music imprint Super Cool Cats, but he previously denied every such thing stating that Chocolate City is family and he will remain with the label come what may.

In his announcement today, the rapper told Toolz of Beat FM that he is still a part of the label even though his contract is expired and he has decided to move on.

He said that spiritually he is still with Chocolate City but has only chosen to do things a different way for now.

He also downplayed rumours of a rift in-house which led to his public declaration of leaving the label.

The rapper told Cool FM during his interview that his contract expired two years back but he chose not to make it public owing to his relationship with the label’s executive.

Regardless of his decision to move on following the expiration of the contract, the rapper added that he still has a superb working relationship with the Chocolate City, his former label mates and the label’s executives.

NAIJ.com sought to get a clearer picture on the situation and so we reached Chocolate City music for an official statement but a label representative said that the company is not willing to address the issue yet until a press briefing is ready.

When we probed further to know the exact situation between Ice Prince and the label executives, his former label mate and the exact reason(s) the rapper left the company after a streak of successful years musically, the rep told us that a press briefing is being planned and scheduled to hold on Monday, May 23 at the label’s office in Lagos.

In response to our questions on the rapper’s new imprint Super Cool Cats, the rep stated that Ice Prince is still a part of the label even though out of contract as an artiste.

He added that on May 23 Chocolate City will be unveiling Super Cool Cats by Ice Prince and Jagz Nation by Jesse Jagz.

He also stated that Chocolate City is in fact going to unveil both new imprints by the music stars, an allusion to the fact there is an existing working relationship between the label and the artistes.

Ice Prince is not the first artiste to exit the label.

In May 2012, Jesse Jagz left the label and went on to make music independently under Jagz Nation but returned in April, 2015 to the label under the new management structure.

Similarly in 2013, Brymo left the label unceremoniously after a widely publicized spat with label executive Audu Maikori.

The Ara singer cited several reasons for his action and then went on to sign with Tate Music Group in 2015.

Five years jail term for lecturer who sexually molests student

Lecturers that engage in sexual relationship with students would henceforth bag a five-year jail term if a  bill in the Senate, seeking to completely prohibit any form of sexual relationship between them and their students is passed and assented to by President Muhammadu Buhari. The bill on Wednesday, passed for first reading in the Senate.

The bill, sponsored by Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege (Labour-Delta Central) and co-sponsored by 46 other senators, seeks to completely prohibit any form of sexual relationship between lecturers and their students, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.

Briefing journalists after plenary, Omo-Agege said the nation’s institutions of higher learning must be sanitised to rid them of lecturers who saw female students as “prize’.”

According to him, when the bill is passed and signed into law, any lecturer found guilty will be liable to a jail term of up to five years but not less than two years with no option of fine.

“When passed into law, it makes it a criminal offence for any educator in a university, polytechnic or any other tertiary educational institution to violate or exploit the student-lecturer fiduciary relationship for sexual pleasures.

“The bill imposes stiff penalties on offenders in its overall objective of providing tighter statutory protection for students against sexual hostility and all forms of sexual harassment in tertiary schools.

“The bill provides a compulsory five-year jail term for lecturers who sexually harass students.

“When passed into law, vice chancellors of universities, rectors of polytechnics and other chief executives of institutions of higher learning will go to jail for two years if they fail to act within a week on complaints of sexual harassment made by students.

“The bill expressly allows sexually harassed students, their parents or guardians to seek civil remedies in damages against sexual predator lecturers before or after their successful criminal prosecution by the state,” Omo- Agege said.

Seun Egbebe Apologizes to Toyin Aimakhu

– Nollywood investor Seun Egbegbe issues public apology to ex-lover Toyin Aimakhu after their public show of shame

– All through April 2016, the pair made the news for publicising details about their troubled relationship

– Toyin and Seun eventually went separate ways but not before the damage was done to their personal images

On Monday, May 16, 2016 Seun Egbegbe the ex-husband of controversial Nollywood actress Toyin Aimakhu shared an apology on Instagram in which he spoke on being sorry for the inconveniences he’d caused the actress.

In a short message which he eventually deleted before long, the socialite and Nollywood investor urged movie producers and the general public to get into business with the actress as she is a celebrated A-list entertainer.

Recall that in the early months of 2016, the couple had a messy break up which was widely publicized on social media and became a fodder for gossip sites and soft sell magazines afterwards.

Several Nollywood insiders and close friends of the couple tried to intercede and bring calm into the troubled affair but all they met were brick walls.

Similarly, veteran radio host and events compere Freeze weighed in on the situation at some point as he shared a message on April 21 wherein he eulogized the actress for staying strong in spite of the trying situation and the drama surrounding her break up.

Freeze held that Seun owes Toyin an apology and should do just that. He also advised Seun to desist from granting any more interviews at that point as it was no longer a funny topic considering how much he’d dragged her name in the mud.

While their controversies lasted, Egbegbe the CEO of Ebony films production claimed in an April 2016 interview that Aimakhu has a high libido and is difficult to satisfy in bed.

He added that even with sex enhancers he could not satisfy Aimakhu in bed. He also spoke on being her first lover as he met her a virgin.

The pair continued back and forth, washing their dirty linen in public interview after interview followed by unsavoury social media dramas.

With this development, it remains to be seen what becomes of the former lovebirds.

On Saturday May 14, 2016, Davido’s daughter Imade celebrated her first birthday with a star-studded gig which held a day after her birthday.

Imade Aurora Oluwadamilola Adeleke was clocked one on Saturday, May 14 but her birthday party was held a day after, Sunday May 15, 2016 at her grandfather Elder Adedeji Adeleke’s residence at Esther Adeleke Street, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, but her mother Sophie Momodu was missing in action.

Ever since the baby abduction mess raised by Sophie Momodu and her uncle Dele Momodu against Davido and her sister Ashley Coco over Imade on December 29, 2015 and the dirty exchange of words that followed, both families, the Adelekes and Momodus have tried to maintain a peaceful relationship without friction.

So on Imade’s birthday, Saturday, May 14, Davido allowed Imade to be with her mother, Sophie. Mother and daughter had a swell time to bond and ruminate on Imade’s birth away from family and friends while Sunday, May 15 was daddy and daughter’s day.

To really show it was their day together, Davido and his daughter rocked matching designer T-Shirts from Dolce & Gabbana.

But, it’s my story and I don’t have any other way to say it and I don’t want to sugar-coat it. I don’t know, I may never. He was never a part of my life and it is quiet unfortunate.

Fuel price Hike Lawmakers move against Kachikwu

House of Representatives members, who are mostly members of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) reportedly disrupted the chamber's special plenary on fuel price hike on Monday, May 16.

Report said that after Dogara finished his comment, and allowed the Majority Leader, Femi Gbjabiamila, to move the motion, there was an emphatic ‘nay’ from the opposition lawmakers in rejection of the motion.

The Speaker was said to have ignored the resounding 'nay' prayers by ruling in favour of the ‘ayes’ Gbajabiamila swiftly moved for the admittance of Kachikwu.

Chidi mokeme blasts Buhari yesterday over removal of fuel subsidy

The removal of fuel subsidy which was announced on Wednesday, May 11 by the minister of state for petroleum resources Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu has set tongues wagging, with more notable Nigerians weighing in on the situation by the day

. Defending the new price increase, Kachikwu spoke in Abuja on May 11 saying the increment in the price of premium motor spirit also known as fuel by the federal government will serve as a way of curbing the unchecked fuel price increase suffered b Nigerians at various fuel stations in the country. This was exactly what he said '📣Yesterday there were occupiers in Ojota for what now seems like one of the following self absorbing reasons: 1. They did not fully understand the issues. 2. They had not seen the light. 3. They wanted to take credit for such a bold step.
And since the occupiers of Ojota yesterday are now the occupiers of Aso Rock today, thank God they have finally seen the light, they now understand the issues and they can take full credit. But for the light to shine brightly and fully for the benefit of Nigerians, we must go one step further to avoid repeating same mistakes..... You cannot deregulate and still determine prices!
Let the market forces of both FOREX and CRUDE determine the final landing cost for individual marketers and eventual pump price for the product. Until such a time that NNPC will clean house enough to do their job. And New players set up structures to break the monopoly of the present cabal. The citizens will choose what price/vendor that works for them. A bottle of water at the mall costs N60, N150 or N300 depending on if you're buying from shoprite, KFC or The movie place (all in the same mall). And nobody complains. And they're not stupid. We can make our own choices. Just remove your hand from the matter and leff matter for mathais. I'm just trying to make #ChidiSense since #CommonSenseIsNoLongerCommon #ToDeregulateOrNotToDeregulate #SubsidyRemoval #Subsidy #BraceUp #TightenUp #Change #RealChange #ChidiSense #Discuss'

He added that the federal government has provisions in the 2016 budget aimed at reducing the effects the price increase may have on citizens.

Iheanacho angry with Guadiola

– The Nigerian striker scored an important goal in the last EPL game of the season

– Manchester City coach Manuel Pellegrini took charge of his final game in charge of the club on Sunday

– Iheanacho praises Pellegrini

According to Kelechi Iheanacho,  the striker of Manchester City,  he is not happy to see manager Manuel Pellegrini leave the club.

Manchester City scrapped into next season’s Champions League with a draw at Swansea City to secure fourth place in the Premier League because of a vastly superior goal difference to United, even if they win their postponed match against Bournemouth.

Iheanacho gave City an early lead, before Andre Ayew’s 12th EPL goal this term via a deflected free-kick in first-half stoppage time restored parity.

It would be recalled that Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola will replace Pellgrini on July 1.

However the Nigerian star, who scored 14 amazing goals this season, said: “I am not quite happy that he is going, but this is the football world and anything can happen. I just wish him good luck wherever he goes, and will be praying for him and hope to see the future.”

Bayern Munich coach, Pep Guardiola has been appointed as the new manager at Manchester City for next season on a three year deal.

Bayern Munich coach, Pep Guardiola has been appointed as the new manager at Manchester City for next season on a three year deal.

Iheanacho stressed: “He is a special manager for me and has done great things in my life – he brought me into the first team, introducing me to work with the squad right from pre-season last year. I am happy for him, for everything he achieved with this team, and happy that he made me a part of it. I won’t forget him, no matter where he goes.”

“He is popular with the players – he makes people happy when they work with him because he likes to play football,” the player added.

Iheanacho is  also hopeful of getting even better next season: “I have been playing and scoring goals this season, so it has been a huge difference to what happened to me last season.  But next season I hope to be much better, and score more goals to help the team succeed in all the competitions.”

Meanwhile, according to the Daily Mirror, Nigerian striker Kelechi Iheanacho in talks over a new contract.

Fayose says Bihari is commuting political 419

Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose has said that President Muhammadu Buhari is committing political 419. “419” means advanced fee fraud
Fayose made the remark on Thursday, May 12, 2016, following the government’s increase of fuel price in the country.

“Those who opposed removal of fuel subsidy in 2012 and funded the Occupy Nigeria protest must not be allowed to get away with this imposition of hardship on Nigerians now that they are in power,” Fayose said via a statement released by his media aide, Lere Olayinka.

“There is no justification for the increment at this period when government is not paying salaries regularly, Nigerians are losing their jobs daily, prices of foodstuffs have gone over the roof and life has become so difficult for the common people. To labour Nigerians with this increment is wickedness taken too far!

“In 2012 when the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) government of Dr Goodluck Jonathan removed fuel subsidy and increased petrol price to N141 per litre, crude oil was selling at $111 per barrel. How then can petrol price be increased to N145 per litre when crude oil is now selling at $40 per barrel?

“It is on record that on May 2 this year, the federal government, in the Petroleum Product Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) Template released in Abuja, told Nigerians that it was subsidising petrol at N12.62 per litre.

“If as at May 2, petrol was being subsidised at N12.62 per litre, and now that the subsidy of N12.62 has been removed, what ought to have been added to the N86.50 pump price should be N12.62, which would have increased pump price to N99.12 per litre.

“Increasing petrol pump price by N58.50 when the federal government claimed it was subsidising the product at N12.62 per litre is clear political 419, which is aimed at further impoverishing Nigerians as the government will be making profit of N45.88 on each litre of petrol bought by Nigerians.

“How can any government with human feelings attempt to make profit of N45.88 per litre on Nigerians, who are no longer getting their salaries regularly? How can Buhari and his party impose another N45.88 per litre levy on Nigerians who are already facing severe hardship? This is wickedness!

“Nigerians should be reminded that the president once said that petrol subsidy never existed and that it was a fraud. How then can the same President Buhari tell us that he has removed the same subsidy he claimed never existed?

“The reality is that these people lied to Nigerians too much. They made promises they knew they won’t fulfil just to get to power. Now they are showing Nigerians their true colours. They are showing Nigerians that they have come to punish them with hardship.

“Buhari and his APC promised to reduce petrol pump price to from N87 to N45 per litre; petrol is now N145. They promised to create three million jobs per year; they have instead created millions of unemployment. They said $1 will be equal to N1; $1 is now N320. They promised to create better live for Nigerians, they have instead created hardship by making prices of basic commodities to skyrocket through their lack of policy direction," he added.

Fuel is expected to sell at N145 per litre around the country due to the removal of fuel subsidy by the government.

Vodafone climbs over to become Africa's biggest phone company ahead of MTN

MTN Group's six-month old battle with Nigerian regulators over payment of a giant fine has cost the telecom giant its Seven-year place atop the list of Africa's highest valued telecommunications operators.

According to a Bloomberg report, MTN Group has lost its place as Africa's largest phone company to Vodacom.

For the first time in seven years, MTN's market capitalization at the close of business on Thursday stood at 238 billion rand ($15.8 billion), while Newbury, England-based Vodafone owned Vodacom's market capitalization stood at 248 billion rand, highlighting the first time the rankings will see another company usurp MTN since 2009 when Vodacom listed.

Since October 26, when news of the record $5.2 billion fine imposed on MTN by Nigerian regulators first broke, MTN's shares have declined by 32%.

Despite the fine being reduced to $3.9 billion, the South African-based company is still yet to agree to a payment. In light of the scandal, CEO Sifiso Dabengwa had to resign in November, with ex-CEO Phuthuma Nhleko coming in a replacement. Vodacom shares gained 12% in that same period.

“The problem is all the uncertainties hanging over MTN’s head,” Irnest Kaplan, a telecommunications analyst at Vunani Securities, said by phone from Johannesburg, according to Bloomberg. “The market needs to know who the next CEO will be, but most importantly the market needs to be updated on the fine negotiations and if there has been any progress. Markets do not like uncertainty.”

This may be a short term drop for MTN but we will have to wait till Monday, when Vodacom reports its earnings to determine how far MTN has dropped behind its rival.

Revealed: How Nasarawa state Governor fueled state Assembly crisis

Crisis in the Nasarawa state house of assembly is still ongoing

– A group of lawmakers in the assembly has opened up on the crisis

– The group is known as ‘G6 Lawmakers Forum of Nasarawa state’

The reason for the recent fight that erupted at the Nasarawa state House of Assembly has been made known.

The fracas occurred when six lawmakers stood against the decision of the state governor, Umaru Al-Makura, to swear in 11 sole administrators without the approval of the lawmakers.

Governor Tanko Al-Makura

The six lawmakers, who have since been suspended indefinitely without salaries and allowances have stated their own side of the story.

In  a press release sent to journalists and obtained by NAIJ.com, the group known as ‘G6 Lawmakers Forum of Nasarawa state’ accused Governor Al-Makura of denigrating the state legislature.

According to the group, the governor swore in the administrators without recourse to the state assembly as envisaged by the constitution so that the lawmakers and debate and proffer solutions on the issue.

”We condemned and still condemn this illegality and we call for a reversal of this ill advised decision.

”The governor, in flagrant abuse of the exalted office of chief executive of the state, usurped the powers of the legislature and arrogated same to himself by unilaterally adopting a principle of law strange to our laws which he termed ‘the doctrine of necessity’,” the group stated.

They accused the governor of ridiculing the doctrine of separation of powers between the executive and the legislature as encapsulated in the Nigerian constitution.

The press statement was signed by the six lawmakers; Abubakar Obere Kana, Makpa Malla, Musa Ali, Kassim Mohammed Kassim, Murtala Sodangi and Mohammed Udege Okpoku.

Efforts to reach the governor’s spokespersons at the time of this report for their reactions were not successful.

Meanwhile, the Nasarawa state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has said that it will mediate between the warring parties in the assembly.

Man caught sleeping with another man's wife publicly disgraced

According to eyewitnesses, when the husband of the woman got adequate information of the the hotel room his wife and Innocent were lodged in, he mobilized some boys and they stormed the hotel, broke into the room and brought out the adulterous duo naked.

"They were both brought out of their room naked, and fully disgraced. Whilst Anayo was given a thorough beating and whisked away by her husband, Innocent was surrounded by youths who were eager to give him his own round of beatings.

Ladies if he is married you mean Nothing to him

Attention, class! This is Affairs 101 lol.

Dear Other Woman,

If he’s married, you mean nothing. If you’re married, you mean nothing. If there’s another girl at all, you mean nothing.

If any of these are true, you’re simply a dumb woman that means nothing to this guy. Almost every guy with a wife does NOT want to replace her with another wife; he’s only f*cking you to feel powerful, and because he’s not supposed to. You’re just a fun toy and nothing more.

If you’re married and he’s f*cking you, you’re the other woman. And you aren’t the only one he’s sleeping with. Why would he want to replace his current wife with a lying whore?

1. He likes the fact that you’re coming for him, then going home. He wants to think that he’s the only one you’re sleeping with, but he knows in the back of his head that he’s not, and there are others.

2. He’s only using you for what he can get. If you search for the “Player’s Rulebook for Whores,” you’ll find things that explain why he does what he does. You feel like you matter, but he’s just playing your dumb a*s. So, wise up and move on; he isn’t going to change for you.

3. Everything he does is actually for him. Does he like to f*ck you? Then you have a decent p*ssy, or he likes the power of coming inside you and sending you home. If not, then your p*ssy isn’t that great. He just likes hearing you moan or scream. Again, power.

4. He keeps his responses to you short. Of course he does — he’s trying to leave it open for you to take it how you want. Plus, he has a hard time remembering what he’s told each of his mistresses.

5. He has reasons not to spend time with you, or he asks you to pay for things. If he really likes you, he would find a way to spend all his time with you. If he respected you he would pay for sh*t, too. He finds a way to spend most of his time with his wife and buys her sh*t, doesn’t he? Exactly.

6. He will cheat on you. If in the rare instance you get him away from his wife, you’re a damn fool to think he won’t start cheating on you like he did her. This normally happens when you cause the wife to leave him. But it’s all about the power involved, even though the wife is hotter.

The point is, if you’re a female and have found a guy that doesn’t have another girl, wants to be around you, and wants to pay for sh*t, then praise him! If you have the good man, but you don’t treat him like a king, he will go looking for a whore to play with.

Onitsha, Anambra state ranked world most populous city by WHO

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has named Onitsha, in Anambra State, Nigeria, as the world’s most polluted city.

The WHO made the disclosure via a report published by the World Economic Forum (WEF).

According to the report, Onitsha is number one because it produced pollution “levels of nearly 600 micrograms per cubic metre of PM10s – around 30 times the WHO recommended level of 20 micrograms per cubic metre.

“Of the 3,000 cities in the WHO’s air quality database, the most polluted at the time of measurement was Onitsha, a fast-growing city in Nigeria, which recorded roughly 30 times more than the WHO’s recommended levels of PM10 particles. Peshawar in Pakistan was in second place, followed by Zabol in Iran,” the report continued.

“These cities are mostly located in rapidly growing economies in the Middle East and South East Asia. Four of the 20 urban areas with the worst air quality at the time of measurement were in Nigeria, three were in Saudi Arabia, three were in India, and two in Iran.

“China, which has been working to tackle its air pollution problem, is the only country with just one city on the most polluted list. The Eastern Mediterranean (covering the Middle East and parts of North Africa) and South East Asia were the regions that performed worst overall in the database – with urban air pollution rising 5% in more than two-thirds of cities. Annual mean levels of air pollution in cities in these regions often exceeded five to 10 times WHO limits,” it added.

Three other Nigerian cities, Aba, Kaduna and Umuahia, were featured in the top 20.

Also on the list are Peshawar, Pakistan; Zabol, Iran; Rawalpindi, also in Pakistan; Ralpur, India; Kabul, Afghanistan; Ma’ameer, Bahrain; and Boshehr which is also in Iran.

6 tips to follow when traveling with a baby

Air travel can be challenging, what with all the tedious boarding processes and hours spent cooped up in a confined space.

But this can be even more trying when one is travelling with an infant in tow.

As we already know, babies are no respecter of time, person or situation, and if they feel any kind of discomfort they will state this expressly with a loud, piercing cry, something that never goes down well with passengers on an airplane.

So, how does one minimise the challenges of travelling by air with an infant? Check out these useful tips below.

1. Choose the right airline: Some airlines like Etihad are very baby/child friendly and offer a range of things like games for children, and for babies - sky cots, bassinets, baby meal, baby luggage allowance and even sky nannies. So be sure to take advantage.

2. Bulkseats are your friend: Bulkseats offer  more space where you can place things like bassinets, and where children can crawl around. Also, window seats offer more privacy for breastfeeding.

3. Let your baby's routine influence your flight time: If you're flying across time zones, it helps to select a flight schedule that fits with your baby's routine to cushion the effects of jet-lag.

4. Pack all the essentials: This goes without saying, diapers, baby food, extra clothes, wet wipes, sling/baby carrier and toys are just some of the things that should be packed.

5. Get to the airport early: Just because the check-in/boarding process will probably take more time with a baby in tow - think going through airport security and having to empty the entire contents of your baby's bag into a tray, yeah exactly.

6. Have them sucking on something for take off and landing: Whether your baby is on breast milk, or baby formula, have them sucking on something for take off and landing because it helps with the ear popping sensation.

10 luxurious buses of Young shall grow consumed by mysterious fire

Nnewi—Mysterious fire early yesterday gutted ‘The Young Shall Grow’ bus terminal/warehouse, located at New Cemetery Road, Onitsha, Anambra State, destroying about ten luxury buses worth over N600 million.
The Young Shall Grow Bus
The Young Shall Grow BusThe fire was said to have started at about 3.am. No life was lost but many sustained minor injuries while trying to rescue some buses and other property of the company at the scene of the incident.

The workers who were alerted while the fire was raging, were said to have been able to prevent it from affecting the warehouse, with the help of men of Fire Service, who later came when the the buses had all burnt beyond repair.

As early as 7a.m. when Vanguard visited the scene of the incident, the fire had been put off, but the wreckage of the buses littered the compound while sympathizers were seen taking photographs of the buses from outside the compound. Others gathered in groups discussing the fire incident and bemoaning the great loss.

Efforts to speak with the staff of the company proved abortive

However, an eye-witness, who said he works for the company but did not want his name mentioned, said the fire started at about 3.30a.m. He said more vehicles would have been rescued but the drivers left with the keys of the luxury buses thereby making it impossible for those around to remove the buses. He added that each of the buses cost about N60 million, and therefore their loss totalled N600million.

I wasn't arrested by the EFCC - ize Iyamu

BENIN—A Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship aspirant for the 2016 election in Edo State, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, has denied media reports that he was detained by Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, at its Port Harcourt office.

Ize-Iyamu, who addressed journalists in his residence in Benin, yesterday, said that the explanation became necessary to dispel the rumour of his detention, otherwise he would have kept quiet and allowed the issue to play itself out.
Ize-Iyamu
Ize-IyamuHe had, in a statement, said that no amount of blackmail, harassment or witch-hunting could stop him from crying out over how his state (Edo) had been mismanaged and plundered by a government that was expected to do a lot better than previous ones.

Ize-Iyamu,  reacting to a statement credited to Edo State Commissioner for Information and Oreintation, Prince Kassim Afegbua, asking him to be more concerned with defending himself at the EFCC over a N700 million campaign fund, said that harassment from any quarter will not deter him from speaking on issues affecting Edo State.

On his EFCC case, he agreed that he was actually invited by the anti-graft agency to explain how the N700 million given to him as the campaign coordinator of former President Goodluck Jonathan’s presidential election in Edo State during the 2015 general election was expended.

According to him, “I told them who got what, that we needed money for transportation, mobilization of our people, some of them that had to leave Benin to their polling units in the rural areas and that the state chairman of the party  worked out a realistic budget.

“And that by the time we looked at what they brought and what we had in mind, it became clear that the N700 million would not be enough. Our leader volunteered to make up the difference which he brought from his house.

“I must confess that they were very professional, cautious and I cannot believe that it was done specifically to harass me because even while I was there, I saw coordinators from other states, who were also invited, so it  was clear to me that what they were doing was a nationwide exercise.”

Praying together as a couple is better than Sex - Tonto dikeh tells

Tonto Dikeh has quickly become a connoisseur of marital advice since her marriage and has shared fresh words of wisdom once againThe Nollywood actress took to her Instagram page today, May 12, 2016, to speak on the importance of prayer in any marriage
.

Tonto in her own unique way, likened the importance of prayer to sex in marriage, adding that prayer is far more important and useful.

She shared a photo of a couple holding hands and praying together before sharing her words of wisdom.
Read her epistle below:

"Praying together is the most intimate act a couple can engage in. My husband and I do nothing without hitting those knees on the ground to God Almighty..Its better than Sex I tell ya,But also give ur spouse good TLC always. It's time for women to stop entertaining the boffinry of satisfaction that comes from mere social media posts Or the envy that comes from those images you see showcasing the picture perfect couples.

"Men who prey on women view their victims as less than human..Run Away from such human••In his mind they're just variables in a math equation to get to a desired result or conclusion.
Ladies there is no reasoning with him or appeasing to his sensibilities , because ur only a nut in his mind and falling in love is the last thing on his mind.

"He will say whatever u want to hear and become the man u always dreamed about to suck u in his world , and once ur locked in he will unleash the wrath of who he really is. The more u try to get him to be accountable for his behavior , the more he will have u thinking ur losing ur mind , as he attempts to blame you for his cheating and putting his hands on u.

"He can't reciprocate ur love , because he disconnected from his own moral compass along time ago . He doesn't operate in right vs wrong , only wins vs losses.
Every woman that gives him his way and let's him treat her like shit is a win & when she finally wakes up and no longer allows him to control her it's a loss. RUN AWAY FAST FROM TOXIC MEN/WOMEN••• #SAYNOTODOMESTICVIOLENCE #StayawayfromvoilentMen/Women #Love yourself enough to know when to take a bow #Rp #RIP TO WOMEN lost in domesticviolence."

These words of advice comes after she had shared fresh advice on choosing a marital partner, earlier today.
